Thug Catcher deals with a simple attack from the rear. Somebody attacks, and you feel it, and move in front of it. Simple.
Well, maybe not simple until you understand that you must not have your awareness aimed behind you, rather, you must be able to stop worrying about what is behind you and focus your awareness in front of you, trusting that you will feel any attack from the rear. If you are trying to be aware behind you it masks the attack, simply, you’re ‘trying’ to feel what’s behind you, instead of just trusting your natural abilities.
That feeling of radar? When somebody passes behind you? It is the product of trust, and you can’t trust if you can’t relax, and you can’t relax if you’re trying to ‘feel’ behind yourself.relaxing,. No. you must not try to feel behind yourself, you must relax and...trust. Trust yourself and others.
Trust yourself, trust the fellow behind you. Sounds weird, doesn’t it? ‘Trusting’ your attacker?’ But you don’t trust him like you would lend him money, you trust him to be exactly the way he is,
How do you learn to trust to such a level? You do the martial arts. Specifically, you do the forms and applications, until there is nothing you don’t understand.
Previously, learning this type of trust took decades, and then was rarely achieved. But with the development of Matrixing, you can achieve it quickly and easily. Matrixing is a simple system of graphs whereby one becomes able to understand every potential incoming force. Matrixing is nothing more than the analysis and handling of force and direction.
You can get an idea for this simply by drawing a picture of yourself in the middle of a circle of attackers, and then imagining all the potential attack, counter attacks, and so on.
Unfortunately, you will shortly be overwhelmed by the immensity of potentials, and this is where people need Matrixing to start making sense of the mess.
But once you have Matrixed your art, and made sense of the mess, you will not be surprised by anything that happens, and therefore you can relax. Furthermore, you will be able to envision (practice!) a solution for anything that happens. The end result is that, because you have a solution for everything, you will have a growing confidence in the martial arts that will infect your whole life.
And, if you have a solution for everything, then you will start looking just before
things happen.
Or, just after.
Just after means you see the consequences.
Just before means...you’re going to see, or ‘feel,’ through radar that has been martial arts enhanced.
