How can I stay in shape / what exercises can I do with a fracture (bottom) fibula?
The fracture is about one inch in length, near the ankle of the right leg. I jumped and landed much earlier than I expected: my knee fell forward and then I fell on the side most likely making it worse. I like to keep fit but I am not sure that the exercises I can do to achieve. I currently have a plaster on, but I have not seen the orthopedic (seeing him on Monday), so I may be in plaster and / or they may even put a plate in my leg although this is unlikely at this time. I am usually very active so anything that I can To ensure faster recovery would be great. Keep the rest of my body in shape is very important. Free weights can be dangerous, at least until you know if you need additional interventions to ensure stability. Try not to get too tired Arnold and yourself. Remember that your body needs concentrate resources on bone repair. For cardio, how about a rower? Looks like you have the right attitude. Who knows, you could break this down even stronger than ever. Keep calcium intake high while your bones are mending … and stay positive!
